Eco

The main aim of the Eco Compassion Church is to educate. By having a completely sustainable building we want to show the world that yes, it is possible, yes, it is affordable and yes it is absolutely necessary that we begin to build in this way. This planet is the only one we have and it’s in peril.

As a Buddhist church the Eco Compassion Church is aiming to express the relevancy of ecological concerns through the ideas of compassion and loving-kindness – both are main tenets of Buddhism. To us it is an exemplification of compassion to say “hey, we can build like this, if we build like this it will save the planet”. To us this is really a compassionate attitude.

In the future we will hold expo’s, tours and classes on sustainability, to us there is no gap between compassionate Buddhist ideology and green thinking. We want to get the word out there!

Please check back as our build progresses to see what we achieve in our design and the eventual result of a beautiful, functioning building.

In the coming weeks we will add information regarding the elements of our design, but if you are interested you can contact us the receive a powerpoint presentation on all aspects of the church.

I think that what you are aiming to acheive is something we all should be taking notice of, we all should be wanting for ourselves and for our communities. There is nothing better than the prospect of hope, the prospect this amazing establishment embodies.

With awareness comes realisation which leads to knowledge, growth and empowerment. There are better ways out there to do things and I believe that you have found one of them, such a beautiful thing to see.

    Thank You
